After several years in outer space exploring its Kryptonian origins, the HorCast returns home to find Lyon has forsaken it for another podcast, has had a child with said ‘cast and has given up drinking orange juice of the freshly-squeezed variety. The love-loss must have something to do with that magic HorCast memory-wipe kiss. No excuse for avoiding the juice. Oranges are better than cigarettes…

Believe it or not, the HorCast returns this week. I had a chat with Takeshi Miyazawa last week that I’ll endeavour to edit and post as soon as possible. Sorry for the delay in getting a new show up but my music career has suddenly decided to gain some long-awaited forward momentum. New recordings and videos to follow soon.

I took a contract to perform a short run of ‘The Rocky Horror Picture Show’ that commenced the moment I returned from overseas. Needless to say, I haven’t had a spare moment to assemble the podcast since. I hope this week without hasn’t put you off downloading and listening to our shenanigans. The HorCast will return this coming Monday.
I’m off to soak my poor, abused feet. I vow to never wear high heels again…

It seems the HorCast is pushing for a Tuesday publication date every week. Does it abuse alcohol on the weekends? Stay up too late? Is it unable to consume enough coffee to jolt the bags from under its eyes every Monday? Who’s to say. All I can tell you is that it’s still asleep as I type this, and looking at the state of its bedroom, it clearly had a wild night. I’d rather not be the one to rouse it.
Let’s hope it feels a little sunnier tomorrow.

Yes, I’m poor and I have no HorCast for you today. Not for lack of trying, on either count. What you’ve got awaiting you tomorrow, oh faithful listeners, is an epic of unrivalled proportion! I won’t spoil it by showing my hand prematurely but I will say that this episode will keep me editting all night.

The fine folks over at SILVER BULLET COMICS have pinned on a red cape, swooped down from the clouds and saved our butts from the evil of maxed out bandwidth by hosting the HorCast on their site! Now, don’t get your panties in a knot. You’ll still be able to find your favorite half hour of geeked out nonsense here, at the ‘haus, every Monday. SILVER BULLET COMICS will be the shows second home - its apartment in the city, where, at times it might throw parties or have some fun with its mistress.
Ahem…
They’ll be mirroring the audio and video files to alleviate some of the strain the show has been putting on our web-host. As an added bonus, we’re going to make an effort in the future to coordinate a portion of the shows with articles and interviews that Jonathon and his crack team of journalistic commandos are tirelessly hunting down and assembling for SILVER BULLET. This may put a cramp in our last-minute-recording style of podcasting. It might even mean that we have to start taking the show seriously.

Yes…this weeks HorCast will be late as well. I’m back in Canada now but it seems the jetlag has yet to subside. Give me a couple of days, guys and gals and you’ll have Sammy Harkham, Nick Craine and Paul Pope talking the talk and walking the walk.

I’m stuck in Glasgow without my trusty Powerbook which means at least another day before I can get the HorCast posted. Sorry about the delay. I should let all of our patient listeners know that this next podcast was recorded a week ago, Karl in Montreal and me in Welland, hundreds of kilometres away, communicating over the phone. I edited the beast down over the weekend but was unable to get my microphone operational and thus was unable to add the intro and outro. I hope to have this problem solved when I return to Edinburgh tomorrow morning. You may notice a sharp drop in the quality of the recording from previous efforts as I may have to resort to the Powerbooks built in, pinhole mic.
…sigh…
On a positive note, the long promised Music/Comics HorCast is coming along swimmingly and will debut as a two part series, complete with music from Andy Lee, Nick Craine and Kid Koala!
