04.06.07 Site Update!

Hey everybody!
In case you haven't noticed, I've overhauled horhaus.com again. It was getting a bit stale and I wanted to streamline the content a bit.
If you're getting this post through the RSS feed, you'll need to update the feed address (it's under v4 instead of v3) but if you just bookmark www.horhaus.com you'll be A-Okay.

Sometimes I wish I was a web programmer instead of a comic book artist...

01.06.07 Flockin' Around

I'm giving Flock another shot. It's a relatively new browser that supports simple blogging, photo uploading, etc. and I tried it when it came out, but found it a bit cumbersome and crashy. Apparently it's much-improved now.

So this is a test of the blogging feature. The real deal-breaker for me might be the RSS implementation. It's why I still use Safari over Firefox - Safari's RSS reader is still the best thing around.

UPDATE: 1 HOUR LATER The RSS Reader is actually very nice, ~~but why, WHY doesn't it conveniently show me how many new/unread posts are in each feed?~~ My mistake - it does do this.
And why can't I have nested bookmark folders in my toolbar?
And while I can create new blog posts very easily, if I want to edit them I'm out of luck and I'm back to square one, ie: going back to the Movable Type configuration page and editing it there. Booo!

I'm giving it a week trial-run. The verdict is out until then...

Titans: Year One Team

I'm finishing up a project so super-secret I can't even talk about talking about it! No talking!
But that means I can get back to work on Teen Titans: Year One, issue 3, which I've been missing, and since I can't post any art from the first two issues (I'm hoping to preview some of it at the Paradise Comics Show next week) I thought I'd put up this picture of the home team!
From left to right: Amy Wolfram: writer (mere moments before she fainted from malnourishment), Serge LaPointe: inker, Steph Peru: colourist, and me: me.

And apparently I'm on a Teen Titans panel at the con. I hope I don't get asked any difficult questions, or people will figure out that I don't know a good god-damn about the Teen Titans.
Feel free to ask me all about Pokémon, though!

04.05.07 Free Comics!

And free sketches to accompany those comics!

I'll be at the Silver Snail this Saturday, May 5th for this year's Free Comic Book Day, signing and laughing and meeting all manner of people who normally wouldn't be anywhere near a comic book store, including, maybe... some kids??!
I'll be there from 1:00 - 5:00, so stop on by!
Meanwhile, everyone else I know will be at The Beguiling, so if you live north of Bloor and you're too lazy to trek all the way to Queen Street, go and see them!.

22.04.07 Re-Commissioned

Hi everyone! Just a quick update to say that I've finally updated my comicography (for those of you who were asking), so everything is listed up to the present Checkmate cover I just completed (see below).

AND... Commissions are now back online! The PayPal button is up and active on my gallery page. Turnaround time for commissions is generally 1-3 months, depending on my workload, so I apologize in advance for that.
