Tranquility

That about sums up the atmosphere here as of late, doesn’t it?

For my part, I’ve been moving around a lot and doing a whole lot of work I can’t show anyone yet, but here’s a peek at the variant cover I did for issue two of Gail Simone and Neil Googe’s Tranquility series from Wildstorm.
This issue has been solicited already, but I don’t think the variant cover has seen the light of day, so I present it here in all its faux-aged, retro glory. Had a lot of fun with this one.

Hey. Sorry about that. I uploaded a CMYK version by mistake. It should be working now…

It’s gorgeous. Did you do the colors on this? They’re really great and truly enhance the work. Great job on the pencils too. Love the composition of the piece.

Thanks Raphael. Yes, I coloured this one myself, mostly because I had the time to do it and I had a specific idea of what I wanted it to look like. It’s fun to play with different art styles on different pieces. For example, the muted tones and washed-out colours wouldn’t have suited the Flash, and the work I’m doing now on Teen Titans is drastically different from either of them.
Different looks for different books, I guess. :)

I adore it as I adore you. Are you moved in yet?
