Horhaus in Chicago

Comic book conventions are always a surreal experience. This year's WIzardWorld Chicago show was no exception. Amidst the throngs of costumed super-duds and no-goodniks we found friends, old and new, and some of the finest illustration work under the Rosemont-sun. Kalman and Karl busted their graphite-digit-extensions sketching to the extreme all weekend. Check out their respective galleries for evidence of their genius. And me? I was pushing the HorCast like a pimp on a slow-ass Sunday night.

Ho, Kcuf!!
The covers for this series have been pretty last-minute on my end, which isn't to say that I didn't put a lot of effort into them, or that I'm unhappy with the way they've turned out, but it means that the solicitation versions you see in Previews or online are rushed, colour mock-ups to give the retailers and fans an idea of what they'll be ordering. So it's nice to be able to post the finished covers here, if only to show off more of Dave McCaig's lush colour work.
Once again, click the line art to see the final colour art.

I saw you...
At Wizardworld Chicago.
You: were a friend of Terri Boyle's. You asked me for a devil girl commission and paid for it.
I: drew it. But you never picked it up.
Email me.

Mummy Mia
Having just handed in the final cover art for the second issue of the Vengeance of the Mummy mini series from Moonstone Books, I thought I'd share. The series is being written by Justin Gray with art by a boy named Zeu. Oh come on... who could resist that?
