I just finished the cover to #4 yesterday and I really really wish I could post that one... Let's just say it really tickled my... I wanted to say "nerd bone", you know, instead of funnybone. But I realised as I was typing it out, that I really don't want to say "nerd bone".

No more hamburgers, no more Jack Bauer. I'm posting actual art this time!
If you saw the DC solicitations last month, you'd have seen a very different version of this cover - more often than not I (and I suspect many others) have to churn out loose, rough colour versions of the covers to make the deadline for the Previews catalogue. After that, there's a bit more time to work on the finished piece. Here's the cover (minus the logo and blurbs) for Secret Six issue one (due out in May, I think)...

Hamburger Challenge!
Disgusting!
For the last two or three years (I've lost count) Steph and Stone have been trash-talking each other over which of them could eat the most McDonald's hamburgers in one sitting. All it took was a night of martinis and cigar smoking to finally get these two gladiators into the arena.
The final count? 5 burgers to 3.

This is the cover art to ION #2, forthcoming from DC Comics, chronicling the further adventures of Kyle Rayner in a post-Hal Jordan-back-from-the-evil-and-then-the-dead-and-then-the-Spectre world.
It looks like I may be doing cover chores on this title for a bit, so watch this space for more.
